WiMAX Relay Communication Technology (IEEE 802.16j)

Description

To provide broadband services with higher data rate using wireless networks, IEEE 802.16 task group started developing new standard for physical (PHY) layer and Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. In 2001, the first IEEE 802.16 standard was published, which aimed to support the communication in the 10-66 GHz frequency band. In 2003, IEEE802.16a was introduced to provide additional physical layer specification for the 2-11 GHz frequency band.
